About Foundations Athlete

What is Foundations Athlete?

Foundations Athlete helps athletes build a life beyond the game. We teach the skills that sit beside training: money, NIL, brand, career and leadership.

Who is it for?

Athletes from youth through college, and professional athletes too. Content and supervision match each age band.

  • Youth (elementary and middle school): confidence, teamwork, good habits and early money basics.
  • High school (grades 9 to 12): saving, budgeting, credit, NIL and recruiting reality, plus career curiosity.
  • College: money on a bigger budget, NIL deals and contracts, a brand with purpose and career readiness.
What will athletes learn?

Eight topics, built up over time: money basics, budgeting, credit, NIL and contracts, brand and social media, career paths, mentorship and leadership.

Do you give athletes advice?

We give athletes strategic advice on their goals and point them in the right direction to get there. What we teach about money is education: we explain how it works and what to ask. For your own investment, tax and legal decisions, we'll connect you with qualified professionals.

What's the Home Base app?

It's coming. Home Base is a five-year curriculum on your phone, with short lessons between sessions. Each lesson uses a sports scenario and ends with a quick check. Each year has 12 monthly themes with four short lessons a month.

For parents and families

Is it safe for my child?

Safety comes first. Every mentor:

  • applies, interviews and passes a background check and references
  • completes safeguarding and conduct training and signs an agreement

Minors meet mentors only in group or supervised settings, never alone with one adult. Messages with minors include a parent or guardian. Mentors don't recruit, sell or give individual financial advice. Read the full standards.

Can I be part of it?

Yes, please. Families are part of the team. You'll get a family guide when you register and a note before sessions with consent forms. We also run family workshops on NIL, recruiting, money and how to support your athlete.

Will you teach my child about NIL and money?

Yes, as education. Athletes learn what NIL is, how deals work, what to look for in a contract and which questions to ask before signing. Money topics move at your athlete's pace, from saving and budgeting to credit, then taxes and investing basics as they get older. We don't promise NIL deals or income.

Will my child's photo or story be used?

Only with signed consent, and a parent signs for minors. Families see the story before it's published, and if you ask us to take something down, we'll remove it promptly.

What do programs cost?

Program prices aren't set yet. We'll share them before anything starts.

For athletes

What do I get out of this?

Real skills for life beyond sport. You'll learn how to manage money, understand NIL, build a personal brand and get ready for what comes after your playing days. You'll also get strategic advice on your goals, we'll point you in the right direction, and you'll meet mentors who've been where you want to go.

How do I get a mentor?

Tell us your goals and what you're into. We match you by your goals first, then sport and stage, interests and availability. A staff member leads your first meeting, and you'll set three goals together that you track over time. Mentor matching starts as a pilot. How mentorship works.

Can you get me NIL deals?

No, and we can't promise income. We teach you how NIL works, what's in a deal, the red flags to watch for and the compliance questions to ask, so you can make a smart call when an offer shows up. Before you sign anything, check your school's rules and talk to a qualified professional.

Will this affect my eligibility?

We can't make eligibility calls. Your school and your athletic association decide that. If you have questions, especially about an NIL deal, ask your school's compliance office first.

Can I give back later?

Yes. The last stage of the journey is Lead, where athletes guide the next generation. If you're a former or pro athlete who wants to mentor, email info@foundationsathlete.com.

For coaches and athletic directors

How does Foundations Athlete fit with my team?

We add life skills next to what you already teach, through team workshops and coach briefings, with curriculum you can reinforce at practice. Before anything starts, we agree on the audience, age band, goals and session plan with you. Our facilitators deliver the sessions.

Do you recruit my athletes?

No. Our staff and mentors don't recruit, steer athletes to agents, sell anything or give individual financial advice. High school sessions cover recruiting reality as education only.

Can we start with a pilot?

Yes. A pilot is how we plan to start with schools. We plan it with you, athletes take a short knowledge check before the first session, sessions follow one format (open, teach, apply, reflect), and a follow-up check at the end shows what they learned.

What reporting will we get?

Within 48 hours of each session, your lead gets a short note with attendance and highlights. Over the term we track attendance, session feedback, learning from the before and after checks, and repeat participation. We only report what we can document.

How do we partner with you?

Start with a conversation. Email info@foundationsathlete.com. We'll learn what your athletes need, then send a proposal with a defined scope.
